Shock Coffee has partnered with one of the largest custom coffee roasters in America—utilizing the most modern coffee roasting facilities in the world. Using hyper-efficient thermal transfer, Shock retains higher levels of favorable flavor and aroma volatiles than that produced on other roasting equipment.

In general, coffee grown at higher altitudes mature slower which makes it denser and better tasting. Shock is led by a team of industry veterans who pursue the finest raw materials around the world. How did you come up with the idea for this product?

We’re an innovative coffee company that is always looking for new ways to improve the taste and experience. It’s certainly challenging—there’s no denying that. But anything worthwhile in life is worth working hard for. And that’s why we’re here.

What makes your product special?

At Shock Coffee, there are no shortcuts when it comes to the quality of our beans. With the help of some of the best roasters in the world, we’ve put together a coffee blend that produces up to 50% more caffeine than your typical cup of coffee without sacrificing one iota of great taste.

What has been the best part of your startup experience?

The excitement and engagement we’ve received from our customers and distribution partners as well as all the media coverage we’ve received so far. We also had the opportunity to provide Shock to the U.S. military in Iraq and Afghanistan during the war. Knowing that our product helped the soldiers stay awake in the field was a great honor. We sent hundreds of Shock care packages overseas which included coffee and apparel and the feedback from the troops was simply overwhelming.
